Hermansville Garage Days Friday, Saturday
HERMANSVILLE -- Hermansville Garage Days are Friday, Aug. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Planners expect over 35 sales in various locations in Hermansville. Some will be Saturday only, most will be both days.
Maps will be available at the Wildwood Restaurant on Friday at noon, or on the facebook page "Hermansville Community Garage Sales."
Maps will also include information about some of the items available at each location.
MARSP to meet
ESCANABA -- The Delta County Chapter of MARSP will hold its next meeting on Sept. 12, at noon, at the Highland Golf Club. Lunch will be served.
EMP will present a program on the high school robotics program.

Compassionate Friends
ESCANABA -- Anyone who has had a child die in their family is invited to attend the Thursday, Aug. 24 meeting of the Bay de Noc Chapter of the Compassionate Friends. The meeting is held at 7 p.m. in the third floor meeting room in the First Presbyterian Church, located at 819 First Avenue South in Escanaba.
Compassionate Friends is a nonprofit, self-help, bereavement support organization for families that have experienced the death of a child. When a child dies, at any age, for any reason, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, a brother or sister, or a grandchild, and helps other better assist the grieving family.
