Esky, Holy Name Class of 1973 to hold reunion
ESCANABA -- The Escanaba High School Class of 1973 will gather together to celebrate their 50th reunion on Sept. 15 and 16 at the Island Resort.
After the closure of Holy Name High School in 1971, students from Holy Name split up and attended their last two years of high school in their home districts. Most students went to Escanaba, others went to Bark River or Gladstone. The class would like to invite any members of the Gladstone or Bark River class of 1973, that attended Holy Name to this reunion.

Bereavement group for healthcare workers
ESCANABA -- UP Health System Hospice is holding a bereavement group for healthcare professionals in our community. During this guided group our bereavement team will assist in identifying and expressing stressors related to loss, the bereavement process and self-expression. The group will provide a space to identify and express stressors related to loss and the opportunity for self-expression.
The group will be held on Aug. 17 at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Bay College in the Joseph Heirman University Center building, room 901.

Menominee County Dems meet Tuesday
MENOMINEE -- The Menominee County Democrats will hold their every-third-Tuesday-of-the-month meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 15, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Spies Public Library's, located on 1st Street.
The meeting will take place in the ground floor meeting room, behind front desk, and via Zoom. Democrats wishing to attend via Zoom should email mendemssecretary@gmail.com for the link.
Pasty sale Thursday, Friday in Escanaba
ESCANABA -- St. Anthony's Church is having a pasty sale on Aug. 17 and 18. Pick up will be at St. Thomas in Escanaba from 2 to 5 p.m. on both days. Delivery will also be available to any Escanaba business.
