All-you-can-eat breakfast

RAPID RIVER — The second-Sunday all-you-can-eat breakfast at the Rapid River Legion Post 301 hall will take place Aug. 13 from 8 a.m. to noon. Children five and under eat free and children between the ages of 6 and 12 eat for a reduced rate.

Holy Name Class of 1966

ESCANABA — The deadline to register for the Holy Name Class of 1966 informal reunion is September 6, 2023. The fee is $25 per person, which can be sent to Patti Hengesh, 4872 Delta 17.9 Drive, Escanaba.

The reunion will take place Sept. 16 at the Elks, starting at 5 p.m.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road in Rock, on Sunday, Aug. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Music will be performed by Country Express.

There is a cost at the door and a free-will donation lunch will be available.

Menominee County Democrats to meet

MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Democrats will hold their every-third-Tuesday-of-the-month meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 15, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Spies Public Library’s, located on 1st Street.

The meeting will take place in the ground floor meeting room, behind front desk, and via Zoom.  Democrats wishing to attend via Zoom should email mendemssecretary@gmail.com for the link.

Soo Line Engine  #730 Authority meets Monday

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Michigan Soo Line Steam Engine #730 Authority will hold its regular Monthly meeting on Monday, Aug. 14, at 4:30 p.m. at 921 Delta Avenue. The meeting will be held at the Downtown #730 Station and Museum Welcome Center building in Gladstone.

Items to be discussed include the Community Foundation agreement status for future golf outings, latest donations and review of the group’s bylaws and constitution in line with the request from the City of Gladstone.

The public is invited to join the Authority.
