Delta County 100+ Women Who Care
ESCANABA -- The first giving meeting of Delta County 100+ Women Who Care will take place July 20 at the Highland Golf Club. Registration will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. and the presentations and voting on the charity receiving the night's funding will take place between 6 and 7 p.m. An optional meal will take place after the meeting.
Delta County 100+ Women Who Care is a charitable organization that supports Delta County 501(c)3 nonprofits. Individual members, or teams of up to four people, commit to donating $100 at each of the meetings, which take place four times a year. During each meeting, nonprofit organizations are nominated and short presentations are given on each group's activities. Then, the group as a whole votes and the winning organization receives checks from members at the end of the night.
Door prizes at July's meeting include a manicure by Makenna Pepin at Salon West & Spa, a brow wax and tint or spray tan by Sara Kidd at The Golden Hour Studio, and a gift certificate from Liza Plourde to Drifters Restaurant.

Delta County Genealogical Society
ESCANABA -- The next meeting of the Delta County Genealogical society will be Monday, June 26 at 7 p.m. at the Family Research Center in Escanaba. The center is located at 1021 S. 14th Street.

Celebrate Recovery community picnic
ESCANABA -- Celebrate Recovery will be holding a community picnic in the park. Everyone is welcome to join the groups celebrates hundreds of lives changed in Delta County. The event will be held Thursday, June 29 at 6 p.m. at the Ludington Park Pavilion
This is a family-friendly event, including a free picnic supper, live music, personal testimony, and a victory ceremony. CR is a 12-step program that provides healing from life's hurts, hangups, and habits.

Grief group series
ESCANABA -- If you are suffering from grief and looking for help, the Delta County Victim Services Unit will be hosting a grief educational series at Bay College. The events are free to the public.
The next event will be July 13 at 6 p.m. Bay College Heirman Center Room 961. This will be a support group meeting.
