Menominee County MARSP to meet

MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Chapter of Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, June 8, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Rd. 338, Carbondale, Michigan. Registration is  from 11 to 11:55 a.m. CDT with the luncheon served at noon. There is a cost to the meal.

The program will be presented by award-winning author Ann Dallman. She will speak about her latest book, “Cady and the Birchbark Box.”

Following the meeting, the chapter memorial service will be held to honor and remember deceased Menominee County chapter members from the past year.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd., on Sunday, June 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. Music will be provided by Ron Jay & The Country Strangers.

There is a cost at the door and a free-will donation lunch will be available. All proceeds benefit the senior corporation.

Game and card party

GLADSTONE — The Friends of the Gladstone Public Library are sponsoring a summer game and card party on Thursday, June 15 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 1212 Minneapolis Ave. in Gladstone.
