100+ Women Who Care
ESCANABA -- Delta County 100+ Women Who Care, a newly formed charitable organization that aims to raise funds for local causes will be having an informational meeting on June 1 at the Highland Golf Club, located at 3011 US Route 2, in Escanaba, at 5:30 p.m.
The group will meet four times a year at the Highland Golf Club. Meetings last one hour and are followed by an optional social hour and dinner. During each meeting, individuals or teams of up to four people, will be asked to donate $100. During the registration period of the meetings, individuals and teams will have to chance to nominate local 501(c)3 charitable organizations to be the recipient of the collected funds. Following a random draw of nominated charities and presentations on each organization, the membership will vote on which of three nominated organizations will receive the night's donation.
The meetings will also include presentations from past donation recipient organizations.
Delta County 100+ Women Who Care is a new giving circle but is part of the larger 11 Who Care Alliance. Worldwide, there are more than 700 giving circles similar to Delta County 100+ Women Who Care.
