Delta Dems to meet

ESCANABA -- The Delta County Democratic Party meets the first Wednesday of each month at the United Steelworkers Hall (USW), 1201 Sheridan Road, Escanaba, at 7 p.m.

Elks Auxiliary to meet

ESCANABA -- The Elks Auxiliary will hold their May meeting on Thursday, May 4. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:45 p.m. and the meeting to follow. Call or text Peggy at 906-280-1585 with reservations or cancellations by noon on Monday, May 1.

Guests are welcome to attend with an Auxiliary member.

Grief group available

ESCANABA -- If you are suffering from grief and looking for help, the Delta County Victim Services Unit will be hosting a grief educational series at Bay College.

The events are free to the public.

Stamp and coin club

ESCANABA -- The next meeting of the Bay de Noc Stamp and Coin Club is set for  Monday, May 8, at 5 p.m. in room 961 in the Joseph Heirman University Center building at Bay College in Escanaba.

Anyone needing stamp and coin appraisals are welcome. The meeting is open to the public. There is an stamp auction every meeting. For more information, call Richard Reiffers at 906-233-9261 or Mark Kuehn at 906-786-2103.

Mother's Day breakfast

RAPID RIVER -- The Walter W Cole Post 301, of Rapid River, Second Sunday Breakfast will return on Mother's Day, May 14, at the Post Legion Hall in Rapid River.

Serving will be from 8 a.m. to noon. Children four and under eat free.
