St. Thomas breakfast
ESCANABA -- St. Thomas Church will hold a church breakfast on April 2 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. The public is welcome.
This will be the last church breakfast until September.
Rapid Readers to meet
RAPID RIVER -- The Rapid Readers book club will meet Wednesday, April 19 and discuss "The Hour of the Witch" by Chris Bohjalian. Discussion begins at 1 p.m. at Jack's Restaurant in Rapid River.
Members are asked to bring suggestions for the May book selection.

Area cantata choir to present concert
ROCK -- The Rock-Perkins Area Cantata Choir will present their annual Easter cantata this year, performing "Praise the God of Resurrection" and songs from "Witness," on Sunday, April 2, at 4 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Rock and again at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins.
Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow each performance. The public is welcome.
Escanaba Elks Auxiliary meeting canceled
ESCANABA -- Due to the Escanaba Elks Club's current closure, there will not be a Lady Elks Auxiliary Meeting on Thursday, April 6.
Members are hopeful meetings can resume in May.
