Parish breakfast
ESCANABA — St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish will have its monthly breakfast on Sunday, Jan. 22, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parish hall at 709 1st Ave S., Escanaba.
AAUW to meet
ESCANABA — The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will hold a meeting at the Bonifas Art Center on Jan. 23 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Members will have the opportunity to view the Fiber Arts show currently on display in the gallery.
Erin Viau, director of Tri County Safe Harbor, will update members on their programs. Donations of the following items needed at the shelter will be greatly appreciated: coffee, creamer, crackers, paper towels, multi-purpose cleaner, 13 and 30 gallon trash bags, towels and pillows.
Light refreshments will be served. RSVP to Judy at 906-789-1905 by Jan. 21.
AAUW is open to men and women holding an associates degree or higher. Founded in 1881, the organization is recognized for its advancement of equality for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.
Steak feed Jan. 26
GLADSTONE — The American Legion Post 71 of Gladstone will be hosting a steak feed on the last Thursday of the month, Jan. 26, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The public is welcome.
Support for families affected by narcotics
ESCANABA — Families Against Narcotics Delta County holds a family forum at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at Wellspring Community Church, located in the Delta Plaza Mall in Escanaba.
The forums are informational meetings on subjects of substance use and recovery as well as an opportunity for anyone affected by substance use to connect with others.
In addition, Stronger Together, a support group for anyone dealing with the substance use disorder of a loved one, meets every first and third Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at Wellspring Community Church.
Taco Tuesdays
GLADSTONE — Taco Tuesday is back at the American Legion in Gladstone. Tacos will be served every Tuesday from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m.
