Fall card and game event
GLADSTONE — The Friends of the Gladstone Public Library will host a fall card and game event on Thursday, Nov. 10.
The event will be held at First Lutheran Church in Gladstone from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at the library or from a Friend of the Library.
Elks brunch Nov. 13
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks Lodge will hold its monthly brunch on Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is welcome.
Church bake sale
GLADSTONE — The women’s group of the Covenant Church in Gladstone will hold a community bake sale Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The sale will offer homemade breads, pies, and assorted baked goods.
The church is located at the corner of 9th Street and Michigan Avenue in Gladstone.
Group provides support for families with autism
ESCANABA — “Autism Cafe” a networking opportunity for families and caregivers of children with autism, takes place the second Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. at the Delta-Schoolcraft ISD building, located at 2525 Third Avenue South, in Escanaba.
Refreshments are provided. The topic for the Nov. 8 meeting will be a Q&A with Kaglea Quinn, a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA). On Dec. 13, an ISD occupational therapist with discuss sensory needs.
Families are asked to use the CTE side entrance to the ISD, located on the east side of the building, facing Escanaba High School. RSVP to Katie Smith at 906-786-9300, ext. 204 or ksmithacisisd.net.
