St. Thomas pasty sale
ESCANABA -- St. Thomas Church will hold a pasty sale on Nov. 9 and 10. Pick up will be at St. Thomas between 2 and 5 p.m.
Pasties are available plain or with rutabaga. Call or text Debbie at 906-399-4259 to pre-order by Monday, Nov. 7.
No November steak feed
GLADSTONE -- The American Legion Post 71 will not be hosting a steak feed dinner in November.
Red Shirt Night
ESCANABA -- The Escanaba Eagles Red Shirt Night will take place Nov. 5. Dinner will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m., with live music from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. The band is open to the public.
Tickets are available for purchase during bar hours for members only until Oct. 21. After Oct. 21, tickets will be made available to the public. There will be no ticket sales after Oct. 30.
The Eagles Hall is located at 608 Ludington Street in Escanaba. For more information, call the Eagles Club at 786-3451.
Christmas baskets
ESCANABA -- St. Vincent de Paul 2022 Christmas basket sign-up will be from Oct. 17 through Nov. 18. Applications may be picked up at the SVdP Service Center at 115 N. 8th St., Escanaba. Individuals are asked to fill out the application and return it to the service center.
The Christmas baskets are for families with dependent children in need of help this Christmas season.
There will be three scheduled pick-up times this year: Thursday afternoon on Dec. 8, Friday morning on Dec. 9, and Friday afternoon on Dec. 9. Pick-up will be at the Ruth Butler Building on the U.P. State Fairgrounds.
More details will be supplied on the applications.
Taco Tuesday returns
GLADSTONE -- Taco Tuesday is back at the American Legion in Gladstone. Tacos will be served every Tuesday from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m.
Dance in Rock
ROCK -- A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd., on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Music will be provided by Old Friends.
There is a cost at the door. A free-will donation lunch will also be available.
