Elks Auxiliary meeting

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks Auxiliary will hold its November meeting on Thursday, Nov. 3. Social hour is at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:45 p.m. and the meeting to follow.

The Auxiliary will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Escanaba St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry during the meeting.

Call or text Peggy at 906-280-1585 with dinner reservations or cancellations no later than Monday, Oct. 31 at noon.

MARSP to meet

MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Rd. 338 in Carbondale. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Central Time.

The luncheon will be served at noon, followed by the program and a short business meeting. The meal will be a harvest dinner at a cost.

The program will feature a Tai Chi demonstration presented by Fr. Glenn and Jane Kanestrom.

Members are asked to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Mid-County Food Bank.

St. Thomas breakfast

ESCANABA — St. Thomas Church will host a breakfast on Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The public is welcome.

Veterans Day lunch

HERMANSVILLE — The Floriano-Stecker-Kelly American Legion Post 340 will host a Veterans Day luncheon on Friday, Nov. 11 at the Legion hall in Hermansville.

Social hour will be from noon to 1 p.m., with lunch to follow.

All Legion members, Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, veterans, families and guests are invited to attend. Reservations are required; call Ella at 498-2479 or 399-0398 by Nov. 6
