Music planned at AMVETS Friday

ESCANABA — AMVETS Post 123 in Escanaba will host the band Good Ole Boys on Friday, Oct., 7, beginning at 7 p.m.

Smear league to start new season Oct. 6

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Area Smear League, formerly the All Saints Smear League, will begin a new season Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m. The smear card league will play all of its games at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 715 Delta Ave. in Gladstone.

The league plays only five games a night, lasting no longer then two hours. The league has seven four-person teams and is looking to add one or more teams.
