Anderson gets masters from Michigan Tech

HOUGHTON — Sarah Y. Anderson of Escanaba, recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Michigan Technological University. She received a Master of Science in accounting. She also received certificates in data analytics and forensic accounting and the Deans Award for Outstanding Scholarship.

Anderson was the second in the history of MTU to successfully complete all four CPA exams before graduating. Completion of these exams is required for final CPA designation.

During her time at MTU, Anderson was involved in Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority, Order of Omega Honor Society, Memorial Union Board for student activities, Kappa Sigma Iota Accounting Club, Finance Club, Superior Winds Symphony, and service organizations including Tech Tutors, Habitat for Humanity, and Circle K.

Anderson is currently working for CliftonLarsonAllen, Minneapolis, Minn. CliftonLarsonAllen is the eighth largest accounting firm in the U.S.

Anderson is the daughter of Karen A. Anderson of Escanaba.
