Gladstone smear league to start season Oct. 6

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Area Smear League, formerly the All Saints Smear League, will begin a new season Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m. The smear card league will play all of its games at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 715 Delta Ave. in Gladsone.

The league plays only five games a night, lasting no longer then two hours. The league has seven four-person teams and is looking to add one or more teams.

Escanaba Eagles Auxiliary Craft Fair

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles Auxiliary Craft Fair will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bake sale will take place in the Eagles Bingo Hall, located at 608 Ludington St., in Escanaba.

In addition to crafts for sale, there will be raffles, a bake sale and concessions available.

St. Anthony’s pasty sale

ESCANABA — St. Anthony’s last pasty sale until April of 2023 will be held Oct. 13 and 14.

To pre-order, call or text Debbie at 906-399-4259. Pasties can be picked up at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba from 2 to 5 p.m. while supplies last.

Pasties will also be delivered to Escanaba businesses at no additional charge.

Breakfast at St. Thomas

ESCANABA — St. Thomas Church will host a breakfast on Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The public is welcome.
