Genealogical society meeting Monday

ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Delta County Genealogical Society is Monday, Sept. 26, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Family History Center, 1021 S. 14th St., in Escanaba. There will an open house with a presentation from the Family History Center, as well as the annual meeting with the election of officers.

Spaghetti dinner Oct. 15

TRENARY — The Trenary United Methodist Church in Trenary will be hosting a spaghetti dinner on Oct. 15 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The mean will be served for the price of a donation, with 10 percent going back into the community.

Domestic violence awareness run/walk

ESCANABA — Tri-County Safe Harbor (TCSH) will be hosting the Scare Away Domestic Violence Run/Walk on Oct. 15 as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Monday. The run/walk aims to raise funds for resources and materials for TCSH and raise awareness about domestic violence.

Registration starts at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Ludington Park Pavilion. The non-competitive run/walk will follow at 7:30 p.m. Advance registration, which can be completed online, guarantees a t-shirt if completed by Sept. 26.

Youth age 17 and younger may register for a reduced fee.

TCSH serves domestic violence survivors in Delta, Menominee, and Schoolcraft counties, with offices in Escanaba, Menominee, and Manistique and a shelter in Escanaba. Find more information or register online at https://safe3c.com.
