Wells Lions Club raffle winners named

WELLS — The winners of the Wells Lions Club raffle for Sept. 5 were Mark Forsberg, of Little Suamico, Wis., and John Bergeson, of Escanaba. Both winners won $250 in the raffle. Forsberg donated half of his winnings back to the club.

This was week six of the raffle.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. Live music will be provided by Old Friends.

There is a cost at the door and a free-will donation lunch will be available.

American Legion ­chicken dinner Sunday

GLADSTONE — A Croatian chicken dinner will be held at the American Legion in Gladstone Sunday, Sept. 11, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Call ahead to place orders by calling 906-428-1050. Only 100 chickens will be sold.

Karaoke at tonight

ESCANABA — AMVETS Post 123 will host K. J. Karaoke on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Bay de Noc Stamp and Coin Club meets Monday

ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Bay de Noc Stamp and Coin Club is Monday, Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Bay College in Escanaba, in the Joseph Heirman Building, room 961.
