St. Thomas breakfast

ESCANABA — St. Thomas Church will be hosting a breakfast on Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The public is welcome.

MEA-Retired meeting set for Sept. 12

ESCANABA — The Tri-County MEA-Retired chapter will be holding their first meeting of the year on Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. (EST) in Room 525 (located by Bay Cafe) at Bay College in Escanaba. Yearly dues will be collected at that meeting.

The meeting is open to all school retirees in Delta, Menominee and Dickinson counties. To RSVP call 906-241-6854.

DAR to meet Sept. 10

MUNISING — The Onagomingkway Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, Wesley Hall, 312 Lynn St., Munising from noon to 3 p.m., Eastern.

The meeting is a potluck, so members are asked to bring a dish to pass. Beverage and dessert will be provided.

Food drive in Rock

ROCK — The Rock Faith Food Pantry is having a “Fill the Gazebo” food drive. All non-perishable food items will gladly be accepted from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3.

Free clothes closet

GLADSTONE — The Memorial United Methodist Church Clothes Closet is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The closet offers free clothes, coats and shoes for children, adults and in all sizes. The church and clothes closet are located at 1920 Lake Shore Dr., Gladstone (near McDonald’s).
