ESCANABA — Kicking off Labor Day weekend, AMVETS Post 123 in Escanaba will host the band Ghost Riders on Saturday, Sept. 3, beginning at 7 p.m.

Holy Name Class of 1962 reunion change

ESCANABA — The Holy Name Class of 1962 has changed its venue for their Sept. 2, Friday night get-together to meet at the Elks Lodge in Escanaba at 6:30 p.m. The Saturday, Sept. 3 dinner will be held as originally scheduled at the Quality Inn & Suites.

Gladstone library hours

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone School and Public Library will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, for the Labor Day holiday.

New fall hours begin Tuesday, Sept. 6. The hours for public curbside pickup and in-house use are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

MARSP meeting Sept. 8

CARBONDALE — The Menominee County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP), will meet on Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Rd. 338 in Carbondale. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., Central time, and lunch will be served at noon.

Lunch will be available for a fee.

The program for the day will be presented by Cheryl Goc from UPCAP, who will speak about services available for the elderly. A business meeting will follow the program.

Members are encouraged to bring a paper product or cleaning product to donate to the homeless shelter.

‘Fill the Gazebo’ food drive Saturday

ROCK — The Rock Faith Food Pantry is having a fill the gazebo food drive. All non-perishable food items will gladly be accepted from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3.
