Wells Lions Club raffle winner named

WELLS — The winner of the Wells Lions Club 52-week raffle for the week of Aug. 22 is Jim Decremer, of Rapid River, who won $100. This was week four of the raffle.

Genealogical society to meet Monday

ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Delta County Genealogical Society is Monday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Family History Center, located at 1021 S. 14th St., in Escanaba.

Live music at AMVETS

ESCANABA — AMVETS Post 123 in Escanaba will host the band Cross Fire on Saturday, Aug. 27, beginning at 7 p.m.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. Live music will be provided by Old Friends.

There is a cost at the door and a free-will donation lunch will be available.

MARSP to meet Sept. 6

HARRIS — The Delta County Chapter of MARSP will be held, at noon, at the Island Resort and Casino on Sept. 6.

Lunch will be available, and Glendon Brown will be the guest speaker. Brown will be speaking on the Escanaba Solar Project.
