Wells Lions Club raffle winner named

WELLS -- The winner of the Wells Lions Club 52 week raffle for the week of Aug. 15 is Chris Loftus of Escanaba, who won $100. This was week three of the raffle.

MARSP to meet

HARRIS -- The Delta County Chapter of MARSP will be held, at noon, at the Island Resort and Casino on Sept. 6.

Lunch will be available, and Glendon Brown will be the guest speaker. Brown will be speaking on the Escanaba Solar Project.

Dance in Rock

ROCK -- A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. Live music will be provided by Old Friends.

There is a cost at the door and a free-will donation lunch will be available.

Ice cream social to ­support Honor Flight

BARK RIVER -- The Bark River Legion Auxiliary, Post 438, is hosting an ice cream social on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. ET, under the pavilion at the Bark River Sports Complex. This is a rain or shine event, featuring ice cream, a variety of toppings, cookies/bars, coffee and water.

During the social there will be entertainment by the Peltier Brothers. There is seating at picnic tables under the pavilion, but guests may bring lawn chairs if they wish.

A free-will donation is requested with all proceeds going toward the U.P. Honor Flight.

Woodtick raffle winners

HERMANSVILLE -- The daily raffle winners at the Woodtick Music Festival, held Aug. 4-7 by American Legion Post 340, of Hermansville, have been named -- but two tickets remain unclaimed.

The winners are: Thursday, Jon J. Servant, and Friday, Brian K. Verheyden.

The unclaimed tickets are: Saturday, red ticket number 477387, and Sunday, blue ticket number 598720.
