ESCANABA — The Mead Retirees have canceled the September monthly meeting. The meeting had been scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Vacation Bible school at Berean Baptist Church

ESCANABA — The family Bible school at Berean Baptist Church will take place Aug. 7 through 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. each day. The theme of this vacation Bible school is “Discovering God’s Ways Through What He Has Shown.”

In addition to the lessons, the vacation Bible school will include songs, games, crafts, rewards and treats. All are welcome.

Fish boil and chicken dinner set for Sunday

FORD RIVER — The Ford River Lions Club will hold their annual Fish Boil and Croatian Chicken Dinner on Sunday, Aug. 7 from noon until 6 p.m., at the Lion’s Clubhouse on L.15 Lane. Turn right at the Ford River Pub.

Proceeds from this event will be used to help fund many local nonprofit organizations.

Bay de Noc Stamp and Coin Club to meet
