Sons of American Legion Post 244 recognized

Every squadron that achieves 100% by Detachment Convention receives the award which will be displayed in the Post. This is the 11th year in a row for 100% membership. S.A.L. members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military. Members of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of The American Legion comprise the Legion Family, which has a combined membership of nearly 5 million. The Sons of The American Legion Detachment of Michigan represents over 22,000 members in Michigan. Founded in 1932, Sons of The American Legion exists to honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires.
