Eagles breakfast Sunday

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles 1088 will serve its fifth Sunday breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, at the Eagles Hall, located at 608 Ludington Street, Escanaba.

There is a fee to attend the breakfast. The public is welcome.

MARSP meeting Aug. 2

ESCANABA — The Delta County Chapter of MARSP will hold its Aug. 2 lunch meeting at the Highland Golf Club at noon.

Carolyn Stacy, director of the Escanaba Library, will discuss library services available to the community. A memorial service will also be held to honor deceased MARSP members.

Vacation Bible School

ESCANABA — Vacation Bible School at Blessed Hope Baptist Church — located at 2530 14th Avenue South, in Escanaba — will be held July 18-22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for ages 4-12.

This year’s theme is “Winning with Jesus.” There will be games, crafts, treats, skits, music, and Bible lessons. On Wednesday evening, there will be a special concert with Stephen Forester, ventriloquist/puppeteer and musician.

MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Dems will hold a zoom meeting on July 19 at 6 p.m. CST. The topic of discussion will be “Myths and Legends of Law” led by Judge Hupy.

Legion breakfast Sunday

GLADSTONE — The American Legion Post 71, of Gladstone, will be hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Sunday, July 17. Food will be served from 9 a.m. to noon.

Ventriloquist preacher coming to Blessed Hope

ESCANABA — Stephen Forester — a multi-talented instrumentalist, Gospel singer, ventriloquist/puppeteer, and preacher — will be at Blessed Hope Baptist Church on July 20 for an evening of excitement and spiritual encouragement.

The service will start at 6:30 p.m. Blessed Hope Baptist Church is located at 2530 14th Avenue South, in Escanaba.

Hot dog and brat sale

ESCANABA — The Ford River Lions Club will hold a hot dog and brat fundraiser in front of Elmer’s County Market, starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29.

All proceeds from the sale will be used to help fund numerous charitable organizations including Camp Harstad, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Pregnancy Services of Delta County, and The Bonifas Art Center.
