Two named to Wisconsin Lutheran College’s dean’s list

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Two local students were named to Wisconsin Lutheran College’s dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester. To be eligible for dean’s list, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.6 or higher.

The students were Kaylee Cadeau, of Escanaba, a sophomore; and Liana Blahnik, of Bark River, also a sophomore. Blahnik is a graduate of Carney-Nadeau Public High School.

Three graduate from Michigan Tech

HOUGHTON — Three local students recently graduated from Michigan Tech. The students were:

— Lillian Jin VanLoon, who received a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science. VanLoon graduated Magna Cum Laude.

— Sarah Anderson, who received a master of science in accounting. Anderson received the Deans Award for Outstanding Scholarship.

— Victoria Chenier, who received a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science. Chenier graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Aiken graduates from Northern Illinois

DeKALB, Ill. — Over 2,200 students received their degrees from Northern Illinois University in May. Included among the graduates is Curtis Aiken of Escanaba who earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.

Moreau makes Marquette University dean’s list

MILWAUKEE Wis. — Jacey Moreau, of Bark River, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. Moreau is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

To make the dean’s list, students must have earned at least 12 credits for the spring 2021 semester and have no disqualifying grades. The GPA threshold varies by college – for the College of Education and the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, undergraduate students must have at least a 3.7 to be named to the dean’s list.

The undergraduate GPA requirement is 3.5 for the following colleges: the Diederich College of Communication, the College of Business Administration, the College of Health Sciences, the Opus College of Engineering and the College of Nursing. All other programs have a 3.75 GPA minimum.
