Holy Name reunion meeting June 2

ESCANABA — The Holy Name Class of 1962 will hold a class reunion planning meeting on Thursday, June 2, at 12:30 p.m. at the Ludington Grill.

Concert at Central UMC

ESCANABA — Central United Methodist Church’s Central Singers will be hosting a going away concert for Pastors Elise and Ryan Low Edwardson of Central United and First United Methodist Churches.

The concert will take place on Sunday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. at Central Methodist Church, 320 S. Lincoln. The public is invited, there is no admission, and refreshments will be provided.

Gladstone School and Public Library hours

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone School and Public Library will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday, Monday, May 30.

Summer hours begin Monday, June 6, and are as follows:

Monday — 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tuesday — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wednesday — 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The library is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Bay Sages meeting set

ESCANABA — The Bay Sages will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, June 2, at 10 a.m. at the Delta County Commerce Center at the U.P. State Fairgrounds.

The Bay Sages is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational programs for older adults in the Delta County area. Dues include monthly newsletters, coffee and rolls at regular meetings and a wide variety of educational opportunities for members. Guests and new members are welcome. Dues are payable at the meeting or can be mailed to the Bay Sages Office at Bay College.

The June 2 program will feature a guided tour of the Marble Arms and U.P. Military museums at the center. Lunch will follow for those who made reservations before the May 20 deadline. Members and guests are welcome to attend the program and tour regardless of reservations.

Cemetery seeks ­donations for sale

ESCANABA — Lakeview Cemetery is accepting donations for their 20th annual rummage sale now through June 4. Electronics, mattresses, or clothing will not be accepted. All proceeds go to the upkeep of the cemetery.

The cemetery is self-supporting. Call Sharon at 906-553-2403 for more information. The rummage sale is set for June 10 and 11.
