NARFE Chapter 1900 meeting March 23
MARQUETTE — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1900 will meet at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, in person and on Zoom. Guest speaker Harvey Somers, legislative chair of the Ann Arbor NARFE Chapter, will speak via Zoom about legislation that affects federal employees and retirees.
The in-person meeting will be in Room B of the Marquette Senior Center, 300 W. Spring Street in Marquette, on the lower level of City Hall. Spring Street is one-way from east to west.
Chapter members will receive the Zoom link by email. Members who are not on the chapter email distribution lost and who want to receive the Zoom link and passcode should email upmags@gmail.com.
Any active or retired Federal employees are invited to attend NARFE meetings. Non-members are welcome as guests.
NARFE Chapter 1900 was chartered in 1983 and includes members from the Marquette, Escanaba, Rapid River, Ontonagon, L’Anse, Houghton and Hancock areas. For additional information, email upmags@gmail.com.

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 in Gladstone will serve breakfast Sunday, March 20, from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The public is welcome.
Memorial clothes closet
GLADSTONE — The Free Clothes Closet located at Memorial United Methodist Church — 1920 Lake Shore Dr., Gladstone, near McDonald’s — is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the first and third Saturdays of the month from 9 a.m. to noon.
