Anderson gets scholarship from Michigan Tech

HOUGHTON -- Sarah Y. Anderson, of Escanaba, has been selected to receive the Outstanding Scholarship Award for the spring semester from the College of Business at Michigan Technological University. The award is given to an exceptional senior in the graduate program. The outstanding student is considered excellent not only by academic standards, but also for levels of intellectual curiosity, creativity, and communication skills.

The certificate of recognition will be presented at a graduate award ceremony held in the spring. It will also be acknowledged during commencement ceremonies at which time Anderson will receive her master of science degree in accounting.

Anderson continues to work on her CPA designation and has accepted a position with CliftonLarsonAllen, of Minneapolis, Minn. CliftonLarsonAllen is the 8th largest accounting firm in the U.S.

Sarah is the daughter of Karen A. Anderson of Escanaba.
