Esky Indian Ed Parent Committee to meet

ESCANABA — Title VI Escanaba Schools Indian Education Parent Committee meeting will be held Monday, March 7, at 5:15 p.m. at the Upper Elementary teacher lounge.

The meeting is open to anyone interested, but those planning to attend are asked to contact Janine at 786-7462 ext. 2216.

AAUW book night

ESCANABA — The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will hold a book night on March 15 at 5:30 p.m. Members are asked to bring a favorite book to share. Dinner will be provided. Call Judy at 906-789-1905 to make a reservation and to receive location information.

AAUW is open to men and women holding an associates degree or higher. Started in 1881, the organization is globally recognized for its advancement of equality for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.

Spaghetti dinner planned

HERMANSVILLE — The Floriano-Stecker-Kelly Ladies Auxiliary Unit 340 and American Legion Post 340 will be holding a spaghetti dinner memorial fundraiser on April 23.

Clothes closet hours

GLADSTONE — The Free Clothes Closet located at Memorial United Methodist Church — 1920 Lake Shore Dr., Gladstone, near McDonald’s — near McDonald’s is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the first and third Saturdays of the month from 9 a.m. to noon.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, March 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Music will be provided by Old Friends.
