NSDAR schedules monthly meeting

MARQUETTE — The Onagomingkway Chapter, NSDAR, will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from noon until three p.m. at the Big Boy Restaurant, 1950 US Highway 41 W, Marquette (pie/dessert social a la carte). Library sets virtual Christmas story time

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone School and Public Library will host a Christmas Virtual Story Time and basket giveaway.

An online Story Time will be held on Saturday, December 18, starting at 10:30 a.m. by accessing our Library Facebook page or the Gladstone school website.

Parents can also come into the library and sign up children ages 2 to 10 years old for a chance to win a basket filled with Christmas fun and pick up a Christmas goodie bag. The entry forms for the giveaway are available at the library between November 29 – December 15. Winners will be called on December 16.

AAUW plans New Year gathering Jan. 13

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Area Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) will meet at the House of Ludington on Thursday, January 13 at 5:30 p.m. to welcome in the New Year. Spouses and significant others are welcome. A selection of hors d’oeuvres will be served. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 786-3415. Members are encouraged to bring items for the Tri County Safe Harbor. Suggested items include Elmer’s or Meijers gift certificates, multi- purpose cleaner, canned good, boxed meals and cereal.
