Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd, on Sunday, Aug. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. Live music will be performed by Ron Jay and the Country Strangers.

There is a cost at the door and a free-will donation lunch will be available.

U.P. Wild Church to hold nature prayer service

RAPID RIVER — U.P. Wild Church will be hosting a U.P. Wild Nature Prayer Service at the Masonville Township Recreational Area, Cole Street, in Rapid River.

The service will open with a reflection on a revolving topic, poems read by members, collective prayers, solo time for directed exploration in nature, and a closing community discussion and tea. All are welcome, including children, and services typically last 45 minutes. Attendees are asked to bring their own mug.

Karaoke at Eagles Aug. 6

ESCANABA — The Eagles Club will hold a karaoke night on Aug. 6 from 7 to 11 p.m., featuring Kay Johnson’s KJ Karaoke. The event is open to members and their guests.
