Bake sale set for Aug. 7

ESCANABA — First United Methodist Church, located at 302 S. 6th St., Escanaba, will be holding a bake sale in front of the church on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be pies, cookies, breads, and more, and all items will be pre-packaged for safe handling.

Residents of Harbor Tower will get a special discount.

Used book sale at Waterfront Art Festival

ESCANABA — The League of Women Voters of Delta County will hold a used book, video and CD sale on Saturday Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in conjunction with the Bonifas Fine Arts Center Waterfront Art Festival in Ludington Park.

Proceeds from the sale are used to pay for printing voter education publications or other voter services.

Esky Class of 1956 to hold reunion Aug. 14

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Class of 1956 will be celebrating its 65th reunion at the Island Resort and Casino on Saturday, Aug. 14. The traditional get-together will be held Friday, Aug. 13 at the Eagles Club in Escanaba, beginning at 5 p.m.
