Concert in Ford River

FORD RIVER — The Ford River Community Chapel will be hosting an outdoor concert on Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. Ike and Debbie Micheau will present “The Gospel In Music,” including traditional hymns, blues and Southern gospel. Light refreshments will be served. A free-will offering will be collected with 100 percent of proceeds going to the Ford River Volunteer Fire Department.

Esky Class of ’56 reunion

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Class of 1956 will be celebrating its 65th reunion at the Island Resort and Casino on Saturday, Aug. 14. The traditional get-together will be held Friday, Aug. 13 at the Eagles Club in Escanaba, beginning at 5 p.m.
