GLADSTONE -- Master Sgt. Daniel J. Bricker, of the 844th Communication Squadron, has retired from the United States Air Force.
Bricker is the son of Robert and Debra Bricker. He grew up in Michigan and graduated from Gladstone Area High School in 2001.
He enlisted in the Air Force and reported in August 2001. After completing basic military and technical training in February 2002, he was assigned to Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, to the 41st Electric Combat Squadron -- later the 755th Operational Support Squadron.While there he was deployed five times to Qatar, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan, supporting the EC-130H Electronic Warfare aircraft.
In 2021, Bricker reported to Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, headquarters of the Air Force Reserve Command. There, he was the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of the Global Command and Control Systems Program and secure networking. Additionally, he deployed to United States Central Command headquarters.
In 2016, Bricker was assigned to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, Secretary of Defense Executive Travel Communications. He culminated his career as the NCOIC of operations, managing 44 personnel around the globe, supporting communications critical tot he Secretary's nuclear command and control of the United State's arsenal. He supported four Secretaries and four Deputy Secretaries, traveling 400 days to 38 countries and 22 states, completing more than 460 flight hours.
Bricker is married to Rachel L. Cox and together they have six-year-old triplets, Daniel, Isabel and Abigail. He also has two sons, Ashton, age 16, and Zakary, age 19, whom reside with their mother in Minnesota.
