POWERS — North Central Junior/Senior High School held its annual Community Project Day on Friday, May 14. The day is traditionally the last day of school for seniors, and is a chance for all students, 6th through 12th grade, to give back to their local community.
Students went to around 15 locations in the Hermansville/Powers area to complete service tasks for families and businesses. These tasks included cleaning, painting, or yard work, depending on the location’s needs.
The day ended with a cook-out lunch, senior send off, and an afternoon of activities for all students. Morning volunteer locations were organized by the National Honor Society, while the sophomore class ran field games and the freshmen class organized fun activities around the school for the last hour of the day.
