Summer reading ­program kicks off

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library’s summer reading program, “Tails and Tales,” will run June 7 through Aug. 4. All participants must be registered. The program is open to children who are pre-school age through 12th grade.

Call 428-4224 or stop by the library to register and pick up a reading log.

The summer reading program is sponsored by The Friends of the Library and local businesses.

Wells Lions Club raffle winners named

ESCANABA — The winners of the Wells Lions Club 52-week raffle for the week of May 17 are Carol DeShambo and Ronald Beauchamp, both of Escanaba. The winners won $250 each.

Memorial Day at Fernwood Cemetery

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 of Gladstone will be presenting Memorial Day Ceremonies at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day.
