Legion plans flag ­disposal ceremony

GLADSTONE — The Sons of American Legion Gladstone Squad 71 will be holding a flag disposal ceremony on Monday, June 14. It will be at 6 p.m. at the Delta County Veterans Park in Gladstone, located at the corner of 8th Street and Superior Avenue behind the Gladstone American Legion.

This ceremony is to dispose of old flags that are no longer serviceable. If the flag is faded, torn, or other conditions they need to be properly disposed.

The public is invited to attend and are encouraged to bring their old flags to this event. For any question, call American Legion at 906-428-1050.

Holy Name Class of 1966 reunion planned

ESCANABA — Holy Name Class of 1966 will be having a reunion on Sept. 11 at the Elks. Cards about the event will be mailed out soon.
