POWERS — In October 2020, seven North Central students were inducted into the National Honor Society virtually via zoom. On March 10, those students were finally able to be recognized with an in-person ceremony for their families. The new additions to NHS for this year are early admission sophomores Katrina Borucki, Luke Gorzinski, Carley Naser, Jesse Sampson, and Ashtyn Smith. Junior inductees were Dominic Naser and Trenton Naser.

In order to be selected as a member of the North Central chapter of NHS, students need to portray the four pillars of National Honor Society: character, scholarship, leadership and service. Early admission sophomores require at 3.5 GPA, while juniors and seniors must maintain a 3.3 GPA.

North Central’s chapter of NHS is advised by K-12 art teacher Emily Westphal. More photos and the ceremony video can be viewed at www.artofthejets.weebly.com/nhs.
