Mission of Hope kicks off season with meeting
ESCANABA — Mission of Hope is kicking off its 2021 season. The first meeting will be held Sunday, March 21 at 5 p.m. and Harbor Lights Church of God, located at 612 2nd Ave. South in Escanaba.
Story hour bundles available from library
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Library is launching a new program to bring story hour home during the pandemic.
Weekly Story Hour bundles will be available for checkout at the library. Patricia Fittante, the children’s librarian, has put together books and a small craft to use together at home. There will be five new bundles each week, beginning on Monday.
To reserve a bundle, call the library at 906-783-7323. You must have a library card to check the materials out. The bundles can be picked up at the drive-up window Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., or at the library’s front desk during normal business hours. The library is open Monday through Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. and from 1 to 5:30 p.m.
Labyrinth open to public
GLADSTONE — Trinity Episcopal Church in Gladstone is inviting the public to use its labyrinth, located on the corner of 9th Street and Dakota Avenue. The labyrinth is a type of prayer walk that has been used for centuries. Individuals pray as they follow the path. For more information, call 906-474-9926.
