The 75th Annual Charity Ball-Party With a Purpose will be held virtually Friday, Dec. 4 through Saturday, Dec. 5. Attendees are able to bid on prizes, purchase 50/50 tickets and buy an ornament for a chance to win $300.
"Even though we cannot all be together this year, a 'virtual' Charity Ball will allow more people to participate. It is our hope that with more participation, we can raise funds for the important work that our organization does every year," said Sue Clifton, GFWC-Escanaba Woman's Club Charity Ball co-chair.
The Charity Ball is traditionally held on the first Saturday in December, and this year would have been the diamond anniversary of the event. All proceeds from the Party With a Purpose Charity Ball go to area children clothing needs, education equipment, local scholarships, literacy projects, food banks, and we try to fulfill the many needs in our community.
Jacquelyn Trask-Rahn, GFWC member, developed the online event, which can be accessed via the Escanaba GFWC Woman's Club Facebook page.
