Free turkeys Saturday

ESCANABA — Immanuel Lutheran Church will be giving away 100 turkeys on Saturday, Nov. 21 as part of the “Great Gobbler Give Away.” The 10-12 pound turkeys will be distributed via drive-thru beginning at 9 a.m. at the church.

There are no financial requirements to get a turkey and the turkeys will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis. However, those who can afford a turkey for Thanksgiving are asked to leave the turkeys for those who cannot.

Community members getting a turkey are asked to enter the church parking lot on 5th Avenue South from the west, receive their free turkey, and exit onto South Lincoln Road.

Call Pastor Dennis Meyette with any questions at 906-786-6771.
