Walk for Life to take place virtually

ESCANABA — Pregnancy Services of Delta County’s Walk for Life will be held virtually for the first time this year. Participants can choose a date and time between Sept. 19 and 26 and walk in their own neighborhood. Visit ­psdcpartners.org for more details.

Nurses’ training ­fundraiser planned

HERMANSVILLE — The Voiture 1288 gun raffle fundraiser for nurses’ training is scheduled for Oct. 10 at the Carney-Nadeau American Legion. Only 125 tickets are available. A prime rib dinner for one person along with complimentary soft drinks and tap beer is included with the ticket. Call 906-295-1152 or 906-639-2393 to purchase a ticket for yourself or a friend.

Bay de Noc Peggers Cribbage Club season

The Bay de Noc Cribbage Club 218 began play for the 2020-21 season on Monday, Sept. 14. The club meets at the Lakebluff Retirement Village Community Center, which requires masks be worn and social distancing practiced. This club is affiliated with the American Cribbage Congress and follows the Congress’ rules.

Book Fair moves online

GLADSTONE — Everyone is invited to shop the Gladstone School and Public Library Scholastic Book Fair, which is being held online, now through Sept. 27.

All purchases benefit the library and help to connect kids with new books, favorite characters, complete series, and more. More than 6,000 items — including new releases, best sellers, value packs, and Book Fair exclusives from the new interactive book list — are available and ship directly to homes.
