Book donations paused

ESCANABA — The Delta County League of Women Voters is no longer able to accept donations of used books due to a lack of storage space. This includes books that were being dropped off at the Daily Press office.

The League will notify the public when they are once again able to accept donations.

Salvation Army social services available

ESCANABA — Social service assistance from the Salvation Army is available 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the Community Services Building.

The Soup Kitchen is open noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
