Menominee County Voiture fundraiser
HERMANSVILLE — The Voiture 1288 gun raffle fundraiser for nurses’ training is scheduled for Oct. 10 at the Carney-Nadeau American Legion. Only 125 tickets are available. A prime rib dinner for one person along with complimentary soft drinks and tap beer is included with the ticket.

Delta County MARSP meetings canceled
ESCANABA — Due to COVID-19 concerns, the September, October, and November meetings of the Delta County Chapter of MARSP have been canceled.
Service officer sets hours in Rapid River
RAPID RIVER — The American Legion Service Officer will visit Post 301 of Rapid River on the first, second, and fourth Wednesday of the month. The officer will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
American Legion Service Officers are specially trained to provide expert assistance, free of charge, to veterans and their families. While the majority of a service officer’s work involves application for VA disability benefits, the officers also provide information, referrals and resources on education, employment and business, death benefits and other important topics.

Women’s AA meetings now at new location
ESCANABA — The Women’s Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting held previously at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Escanaba is now being held in the First United Methodist Church, located at 302 S. 6th St., Escanaba.
Women’s AA open meetings will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Use the back entrance.
