Farmers’ markets reopened in Isabella

ISABELLA — The Isabella Farmers’ Market has now reopened for the season at the Isabella Community Hall, located at U.S. 2 and County Road 495 (also known as LL Road). The market is opened each Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Masks are required, as is six-foot social distancing.

Book drive halted

ESCANABA — The Delta County League of Women Voters is no longer able to accept donations of used books. This includes books that were being dropped off at the Daily Press office.

The League will notify the public when they are once again able to accept donations.

Croatian chicken dinner planned for Aug. 16

GLADSTONE — Sons of the American Legion Squadron 71 is hosting a Croatian chicken dinner Sunday, Aug. 16 from 3 to 6 p.m. The dinner will be held at the American Legion, located at 802 Delta Ave., Gladstone.

The Legion asks you call ahead and reserve your dinner as there is a limited amount of chickens available. You may take out the dinners or eat in at the hall. To reserve a dinner, call 428-1050.
