Kaikkonen graduates from United States Army War College
CARLISLE, Penn. — Lt. Col. John Kaikkonen of the United States Army Reserve graduated from the United States Army War College at Carlisle, Penn. with a master’s degree in strategic studies on July 24.
A native of Escanaba, Kaikkonen graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1999. He currently lives in Tumwater, Wash. with his wife, Darby; sons, Jake and Gavin; and is assigned to the United States Army Reserve Aviation Command. Kaikkonen is the son of Robert and Marylin Kaikkonen, of Escanaba.
The U.S. Army War College’s two-year distance education curriculum educates and develops senior military officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, as well as senior foreign military officers and civilian officials from a variety of federal agencies, to serve in strategic level command and staff positions worldwide.
