Class of 1953 reunion meeting ­canceled

ESCANABA — The members of the Escanaba and St. Joseph Class of 1953 have canceled the planned meeting on Monday, Aug. 3, at Hereford and Hops Steak House and Brewpub.

Croatian chicken dinner

GLADSTONE — Sons of the American Legion Squadron 71 is hosting a Croatian chicken dinner Sunday, Aug. 16 from 3 to 6 p.m. The dinner will be held at the American Legion, located at 802 Delta Ave., Gladstone.

The Legion asks you call ahead and reserve your dinner as there is a limited amount of chickens available. You may take out the dinners or eat in at the hall. To reserve a dinner, call 428-1050.
