DAR to meet Saturday
ISHPEMING — The Onagomingkway Chapter, DAR, will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, March 14 from noon until 3 p.m. EDT at the Jasper Ridge Brewery & Restaurant, 1075 Country Lane in Ishpeming. Attendees should plan to order a meal.

Delta Kappa Gamma scholarship offered
ESCANABA — The Delta Kappa Gamma Society is pleased to announce that it will again award a local high school scholarship to a senior girl planning a career in education. Delta Kappa Gamma is an international organization of women educators who promote professional and personal growth of women educators.
They support and encourage educational excellence and intercultural understanding.
The Beta Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma is composed of Escanaba, Menominee and Iron Mountain-Kingsford. Previous local winners of this scholarship were 2019 – Taylor Rae Myers, Escanaba; 2018 – a student from Bark River; 2017 – Erica Rubick, Rapid River; 2016 – Mackenzie Leisner, Escanaba; 2015 – Mikaela Jefferson, Escanaba; 2014 – Kristen Leigh Bergstrom, Escanaba; 2013 – Anissa Lynne Godfrey, Gladstone; 2012 – Margaret A. Rose, Escanaba; 2011 – Lauren Kleinman, Escanaba; 2010 – Jordan Dalgord, Rapid River; 2009 – Whitney Veihl, Bark River, and 2008 – Emily Robinso, Bark River.

Senior citizens craft sale and bake sale
GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Senior Citizens Nonprofit Corporation, along with the Gladstone Senior Center, will hold a spring craft sale on Saturday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center, located at 303 N. 8th St., Gladstone. There will also be a bake sale, concessions, and door prizes.
Crafters may reserve a table by calling Lisa at 428-2201 or Marilyn at 420-5041. There is an admission fee at the door. Proceeds go to funding the corporation and the MDS-CAA Gladstone Senior Center.
Egg decorating class
STEPHENSON — Come decorate eggs the old-time way at the Menominee County Library on Saturday, March 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. The workshop is free but pre-registration is requested to ensure adequate supplies. Blown eggs will be decorated using a wax resist dye process from Eastern Europe’s Ukraine region. For centuries, decorated eggs were shared with family and friends to promote good wishes at Easter and to welcome spring. All supplies and equipment will be provided. This class is not recommended for young children due to use of candles and hot wax. Anyone under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Golden K Kiwanis hold weekly meetings every Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Escanaba Civic Center, located at 225 N. 21st St. in Escanaba.
