ESCANABA — Anyone who has had a child die in their family is invited to attend the meeting on Thursday, Jan. 23 of the Southern Upper Peninsula Chapter of the Compassionate Friends. The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. in the front conference room at Escanaba High School. Use Third Ave. South off the highway and make a quick left into the front of the high school parking lot. Then use the front entrance and once inside, take an immediate left to the third room on the left.

The group has more than 625 chapters in the United States.
