Breakfast at St. Thomas

ESCANABA — St. Thomas Church will hold a breakfast, Sunday, Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parish hall, located at 1820 9th Avenue North, Escanaba.

There is a cost for the breakfast, but children under five eat free. All are welcome.

Rapid River Relic Riders

RAPID RIVER — The Rapid River Relic Riders will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the clubhouse to discuss plans for the Rapid River Relics Snowmobile Show/Swap on Jan. 25, 2020 at the Rapid River Lions Club.

Foster Grandparent in-service meeting set

ESCANABA — The Delta County Foster Grandparent Program will have an in-service meeting held on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Escanaba Senior Center, 225 North 21st Street, Escanaba, Mich.

Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

AAUW ‘Homes for the Holidays’ house tours

GLADSTONE– The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will once again hold a “Homes for the Holidays” house tour. This year, five Gladstone homes will be featured on the tours, which will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Tickets will be available after Oct. 28 at the following businesses: Positively, located at 1212 Ludington St. in Escanaba; Gust Asp, located at 616 Ludington St. in Escanaba; and The Frame Farm, located at 920 Delta Ave. in Gladstone.

Proceeds from the project provide funding for the two AAUW scholarships at Bay College.

AAUW was established in 1881. It is open to men and women holding an associate’s degree or higher. It promotes gender equity and life-long learning. It is globally recognized as the most prominent organization that supports pay equity for women. For more information on AAUW, call 399-6080.

Christmas Bazaar set

TRENARY — The Trenary United Methodist Church will be hosting its Annual Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church. There will be handmade items, Rada utensils, and baked goods. Lunch will be served.

Meeting for DAR planned

L’ANSE — The Onagomingkway Chapter of DAR, will hold its November meeting on Saturday, Nov. 9 from noon until 3 p.m. at the Historic Zeba Mission near L’Anse. Members are asked to dress warm and bring a lunch.

Ice cream social Nov. 10

ROCK — The Rock American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting an ice cream social and open house on Nov. 10 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The event is to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary in 1919 after World War One. It will feature an ice cream sundae bar, informational tables about the work that both clubs do, 50/50 raffles and door prizes.

The public is welcome to join in the celebration.

Taco Tuesday returns

GLADSTONE — Taco Tuesday is back at the Gladstone American Legion Post 71. Serving is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome. The events are held at Gladstone American Legion Auxiliary Unit 71, 802 Delta Ave. in Gladstone.
